Boxing Day

Though I live in the US I still like the thought of boxing day.  It is a time to regroup and rest.  We are expected to have a blizzard this evening and deep into the night.  I am expected at work in the morning, and I get a little nervous thinking about driving, but the bigger the storm the less children that will be at the daycare center.  I am not going to think about driving until I am in the car!  Today I will organize areas, play our  new Wii, do some knitting, read and nap.

I hope everyone had a wonderful day yesterday.  We went down to Cape Cod to visit with my parents.  They were so happy to have a full house.  My sister and I brought all the food and drinks, so my mother could just sit and chat.  

All the children loved their toys, but Liam did seem to get the short end of the stick.  At the last minute an itouch was bought for our oldest.  But he has tons of money between his birthday (which was in December) and money that he got yesterday.  My husband is already out buying a new lacrosse head and netting with his money from my parents.   This week I will be heading down to Ikea to purchase new chairs for our kitchen.  I might even get a new table!  Our old set is from my mother in law and I never really liked it.  The chairs all fell apart, and they were material that got all stained. I have decided that I am going to go room by room and get rid of all the things that have been given to us that I never liked but used anyways.  I am also going to organize every room just in case this is the year we have to move from our house.  Our landlord is retiring and may want to get rid of the house.
