I hope everyone had a great long weekend. It was much needed on my part. Work has been very busy and I will be happy when we get back to normal. Our Thanksgiving Day started out nicely, but our drive to my sisters house was an adventure to say the least. When we were about ten minutes away, we were rear ended. I was so mad, then I got out of the car and saw what had happened, I had to stop and give thanks. There were over seven cars involved. Basically two cars crashed severely damaging them. The impact of that crash made the car in back of me, crash into our car. We have damage to the back of our car and it will be a pain to get it fixed ect. But we could drive away and continue our Thanksgiving Day. No one was hurt thankfully, but the other cars had to be towed away.
Last night the kids and I went to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It was the first Harry Potter we have seen in a movie theater. We rarely go out to the movies so it was a big treat. I must say I enjoyed it immensely. I do not usually like that they have to keep a lot of the detail out. And I like were they left it off. I think I am going to do a marathon of Harry Potter reading. Right everything again back to back.
First day of advent. The kids and I will be going to church, then going out to the woods to collect some greens to make our advent wreath. Yesterday we went to the annual Jul festival in town. Madeline loves everything to do with Norway and Sweden. I must say that I do also. We got some straw Christmas tree ornaments, an advent candle and a key chain for Madeline.
