day of ones

1/11/11. It always gives me a thrill to see numbers line up that way.  Above you can see what I woke up to this morning.  Last night we all stayed up to ring in the new year.  We decided that we would have some sparkling apple juice to toast the new  year.  The kids thought it was so cool to be up so late, and to be using special glasses.

Last week we were finishing up our Christmas Day and now it is the end of school vacation.  It went by so quickly.  Yesterday we went to Needham to see my nephew play hockey.  It was strange to be traveling on roads that I had driven on hundred or thousands of times.  Liam did not remember any of the area we were in.  We figured out that he has lived longer in Hamilton, then Needham. It's strange to think that he does not consider my hometown his hometown anymore.  The history my family has in Needham is incredible and I really wish they too could live there.  But I need to give him roots here, give him wonderful memories that he can pass on to his family someday.

Today was spent organizing and straightening.  I bought an ornament organizing bucket and started the process of taking down the tree.  It makes me sad to see it come down, even though I am not a huge fan of Christmas.  It stresses me out to much.  Sad to say it but it really does.
